Gardening this morning reminded me how fragile life really is.
When a seed is first planted, it needs constant watering, constant care. But as it grows stronger and deeper roots form, it needs less from us. It learns how to reach for what it needs on its own.
It made me stop and wonder:
What seeds are we watering in our own lives?
And another thought came to me…
Are we fighting against what God already gave us?
Or are we learning to work with it?
Last year’s watermelons left behind volunteer plants, and instead of tearing them out to make everything look perfect, why not work with what already wants to grow? Move them to better ground. Water them. Let them become what they were meant to be.
Sometimes we spend so much time trying to force life into perfection that we miss the beauty of what’s already growing naturally around us.
Maybe healing is less about control and more about surrender.
Less about forcing.
More about trusting.
Let things be what they are.
And let the true you finally shine through your life.

I want to share a synchronous experience. I received a gift from my niece today. It is a luminous heart with a sweet message. I got chills as I thought of the photo for my Heart Song. She had no idea I created a Heart Song until I shared it with her today. 🤍🤍 (2 photos))
